No problem, any of the samples can be changed to suit your colour scheme/theme.

When should I send out my invitations?

Wedding etiquette is usually 8-10 weeks before the date. For other occasion 4-6 weeks before is fine. If your event falls on a long weekend, leave a little longer so people do not book something else.

I like to try and help those who try to do it themselves as much as I can. If you’re stuck and cant find the answer anywhere, contact me and I will try and give you the advice you’re looking for.

In the meantime....

• Use tweezers to help secure fiddly bits like diamontes, sometimes fingers are just too big!
   
• Always add a couple of blanks (invitations or envelopes) to allow for mistakes or those last minute guests.
   
• When calculating how many invitations you will need, remember couples and families will be on the same invite so don’t go by the total number of guests, rather the number of couples. Otherwise, you could end up with twice as many invitations as you need!
   
• Double sided tape and other adhesives can be sticky. Use methylated spirits to clean scissors, rulers or tables (not varnished ones).
   
• Never have food or drinks on the table you are working on - spillage will ruin all your hard work and then you have to spend extra money on buying new materials not to mention the time it takes to make them all again.

I am not sure what reception stationery I need, can you help?

Certainly! It can be overwhelming when you are organising a reception. The venue will mention centrepieces, napery, bonbonierre, place cards, menus etc. I can help with all of those things and offer suggestions to help ease the stress of it all.

I can even liaise with the venue if need be.

How long does it take for you to design and make the invitations?

I can work to tight schedules if I need to (and have done!) but the optimum would be to allow at least 3-4 weeks from the initial quote to delivery.

No problem. With technology such as email, digital photography and skype, I can work with you no matter where your location!
